Mind Map
For this module I created a mind map, which illustrates the four forms of technology integration that we learned about for this section: TPACK, SAMR, Philosophy of Teachnology, and 21st Century Learning.
Where Am I Now?
A Reflection on Philosophy of Teachnology
One of the most effective ways that I have seen technology integrated into a classroom is in my high school physics class. Our teacher used a smartboard for notes, and also to show us videos of physics demonstrations. He also really integrated technology into all of our experiments. For example, for one experiment we used slow motion cameras to capture the motion of a ball being thrown, and uploaded that onto a computer where we used computer software to analyze the motion and gain information on the motion of the ball. This teacher effectively integrated technology in how he used technology to make class more interesting, interactive, and create new tasks with technology that communicated the course content in a meaningful and interesting way. He was able to integrate technology into his teaching pedagogy, and do it in a way which interested his students. one of the least effective ways I have seen technology integrated into a class was when my high school English teacher tried to integrate technology by having us study the movie of Hamlet instead of reading the book. This integration did not benefit us, as it did not increase our learning, or help us understand the text any better.
Here is a diagram which represents and explains my knowledge of the three different parts of TPACK.
